Graphics card crashing

So, whenever my graphics card temperature reaches 70° Celsius, it stops. It can't be overheating, so I have no idea why, but it only started happening after I plugged in a second RAM stick. I know my PSU has enough power to handle everything, but I'm at a loss.

The GPU is less than a year old, Radeon 6850 XFX. Any ideas? :(

The only thing that I can think of is if the system RAM is a type of GDDR system RAM, possibly interfering with the VRAM on the 6850. That new RAM probably isn't GDDR though is it?
