Upgrade gaming PC now, or wait 1.5 years?

I want to upgrade my gaming PC (mostly BF3 and SC2). If I were to do it now I would probably go with an i5 3570k & gtx 770. The goal is max settings @ 1920X1080. The thing is I am in no hurry and could hold off on a purchase for another 1.5 years.

I found some price history on graphics cards and for example the Radeon 7970 has only went down $150 in 1.5 years ($550--->$400). $400 is my sweet spot for a graphics card. So, based on past history, will a $400 card I can buy today be vastly inferior to a $400 card I can buy in 1.5 years? Likewise will a $1500 gaming PC you could buy in 1.5 years blow a $1500 gaming PC I could buy today out of the water? Thanks for your help in advance!

Moore's law says that a PC built in 1.5yrs will always be vastly superior to an equivalent PC built now.

About a month from now would probably be pretty sweet, as Haswell and GTX 780 will have stabilised somewhat price-wise. Otherwise, wait for HD9xxx series late this year or early next year.
