Wifi troble on a dell notebook

Hi, i bought a new laptop drom dell and the wifii is on but the network connection center does not read anithing but cable connections witch i don't have... Can someone please help me... It is an inspirion 15 with a intel core i3

try to go to control panel, click system,click device manager and then choose network adapters. try to see if there is wireless card installed(ex. ATHEROSxxxxxx WIRELESS NETWORK ADAPTER) if it does then you might be out of signal range, otherwise install the wireless driver of your dell. go to dell' site, choose the model of your copmuter then download the driver
