Intel doesn't really decrease the prices of their older generation hardware much, if at all. You might get old and gray waiting for significant decreases from them. Nvidia decreases the prices of their older hardware some, but not to the level they used to back in the 7000/8000 days and certainly not to the level you'd expect to be a "good deal" anymore. There's really no need for them to do so. Both Nvidia and Intel are the front-runners against AMD in their respective product lines, and they know it, so there's not much compelling them to price anything super-aggressively right now, even older stuff.
