Hmm, okay cool, now I know the fourth gen i5 came out and also the new gtx 770, do you think that is worth getting in replace of those two items, and get a z87 motherboard

Less money spent on frivolous things. Anything above a 80+ Silver will not make enough of a cost difference to actually make up for the excess cost. A GTX660 is way too weak for a i5-3570K and a HAF XM is far too expensive for the budget.

I kind of wanted to go intel because i may be doing dual operating systems with mountain lion on one hard drive and windows 7 on another, but more importantly what graphics card do you recommend if i want to get fourth gen intel processor, i know the price will spike a higher. I already have the operating system software so thats not included in the price

840 non-pro is a really bad SSD.

Okay and can that Cooler Master HAF 912 fit everything properly and have enough space for another internal hard drive if I would like to do that?

If you are low on money, buy the Caviar Blue last. This build includes parts that are of far higher quality and have more features than e_X's build.

So would you recommend the radeon over the new gtx 770?

Yes I would. They both perform at about the same level and the 7970 is a more versatile GPU. It also comes with games.

And for cases, are there any other good cases besides the Cooler Master HAF 912 that are cost efficient more aesthetically appealing than the corsair one you listed?
June 4, 2013 8:41:23 PM

The Corsair 200R is the ultimate budget case.

Okay, are there any other ones that may cost like $30-50 more or so that look better and perform just as well?

Also, would you happen to know which case is the quietest one? I need the build to be generally quiet
June 5, 2013 12:25:14 PM

The R4 is the quieter of the two. If you don't mind a slightly harder installation, a Nanoxia DS2 will be better.

Okay so I'm assuming the corsair 200r and cooler master Haf 912 are both louder then?

Darn, any idea how loud they are? I'm looking for something significantly quiet because I share a room with my little brother and I don't want parents complaining that its too loud for him
June 5, 2013 5:14:01 PM

Basically does it depend on the fans? Or what could i do to make them quieter

It depends on fans but the design of the case affects the noise level greatly. To make a case quieter, you can lower fan speed, get higher quality fans and/or buy sound-deadening foam.

If you're going to buy it now.

If you are going to buy it later. The Cherry MX Black keys are personally my favourite but it's a preference thing.
