So, as the title says i am on budget and i have to choose b/w
2 cores i3 3210/3220

or 4 cores i5 3570K.

I got 620 PSU already so not getting a new one. Same goes for the casing, i am gonna use my current casing.
Basically i am looking for mobo, processor and ram (8Gb least).

also since we on the subject should i go for the mobo supporting 32GB ram or is it okay with 16GB max support ram. I wouldn't like to upgrade for atleast 1.5years after it.

Thanks.

ps: if i do go for lesser CPU then i have to wait a while before i can get my hands on the new GPU.

Simple Answer: Go for the 3rd Gen i3 with 2 cores + GPU

Reason: CPU doesn't effect games performance like GPU does.

^No, not with a decent g-card. See, there is a small difference b/w 4 core 3330 and 3570K but huge difference jump from 2 cores to 4 cores. I opted for 3570K coz it has intel HD 4000 as compare to i3 which has HD 2500. So, i thought even if i do get 3570K then atleast i can do some gaming till i get the GPU but i have been looking up the gaming reviews on stock intel graphic and they are not that good.

Maybe i should go with the lesser cpu.

you don't need 32GB of RAM mobo, especially with a dual core CPU. If i was looking to build a gaming PC, I would certainly take the i3 + dedicated card GPU over an i5 and integrated GPU. The gaming performance would be night and day.

Any of you guys think that on the Haswell release of Intel Chips, the prices of 3rd gen will be slashed down

And do any of those processors have a "budget" in them, (although it would be highly unlikely).

Thanks for the reply guys btw. So far.
its i3, 8GB ram and Intel DH61WW/ Gigabyte GA-H61M-DS2 + HD 7770 (already have DVD writer, 620PSU and crappy case)

What you think. And plz comment of the Haswell too.
Thx.

historically with the launch of new intel CPUs, the older intel CPUs tend to keep their prices.
