So I want to get a new display. I was thinking 22-24''

I have one of the first nVidia 285 GTX and quite old Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2,40GHz 8MB 1066MHz 775pin.

The thing is, my fps is somewhat low in let's say WoW, but it's okay for War Thunder or so. I don't play some flashy FPS or such.

What resolution should I pick, - 1680 x 1050, 1920 x 1080, 1920 x 1200 - so the performance in games is slowed down only by the old CPU. (aka. I want my graphic card to be able to handle the resolution in games almost the same as 1280x1024, which I have now)

you dont have the graphics card to be playing in high detail so there is little point in getting a high res screen, i would say go for the 1920 x 1080

Well, they are all High res.
*edit*
I seriously need to work on my morning maths, thought the first said 2050 too (fail on my half)

Get either the 1680x1050 of the 1920x1080,

Okay then I'm super confused, 'cause I thought it's
1680x1050 = 1,764,000
1920x1080 = 2,073,600
1920x1200 = 2,304,000
Which I'd assume 1680 would be the lowest and not highest
