AMD FX8350 with 4 cores disabled vs FX4300 at same clock speed

I was wondering if anyone has compared running an FX8350 with one core per module disabled to running an FX 4300 at the same speed. The idea being the 8350 would have 1 FPU per CPU "core", while the 4300 would have 1 FPU shared between two CPU "cores".

It would be interesting to see how much of a real world difference it would make in gaming, media encoding, and single threaded performance.

Yes this is what I was just wondering too. Except in my case a 6300 vs 4300 with cores disabled. (It's not like games use 6 cores anyway.)

can you please tell me how to make my fx6300 one core per module??? I cant find it in my asus bios
