z87 or z77

I'm considering upgrading but don't know whether to go for the new haswell chip with a z87 motherboard or the old ivybridge and a z77. Are there any advantages to getting the new 1150 socket?

What platform are you on atm? Normally going for 1150 will get you more ways to upgrading your system later.

I currently have a am2 motherboard with a amd athlon 620.

@Madn3ss795 Does it true that the new z87 mobo is failing.. I just heard it to some reviews and forums. They said they will revise near soon.

Whether they are failing or not isn't clear yet. Could worth waiting 1 week more. Just hope that Intel won't have to come up with another revision of their Z87 chipset ( the current Z87 chipset is V2 already, V1 got some problems with usb3 and power stages that took Intel months to fix ).
