UpGrade my old Dell XPS Gen2 17" SSD SATA vs Ultra ATA?

HELLP... I Have an Dell XPS 17" Gen2 laptop... Still working good and smouth. I would like to UpGrade my old HDD Ultra ATA 100Gb to an SSD SATA HDD... How I can do those? Did i need an adapteur ATA to SATA? Where to by? How to install? I can give my Dell Service tag for all my laptop spec.
Let me know... THX in advanc for any hellp.

Its unlikely you would have the room to get a sata ssd to work in the space a laptop has for the drive.

THX for answer Popatim. On the other side is there any chance to find a caddy (CD/DVD emplacement) to use an SATA SDD with and adapteur or controler an declare it as an master?
