Hi,

I have been reading about the AMD A10 5800k as a low cost low wattage basic gaming solution. It would be nice for a small form factor computer. I'm talking about games like Diablo 3, Path of Exile, Starcraft 2, and Civilization 5.

I just saw that the 6800K came out today, and I read that it can be combined with an AMD card in Dual Graphics mode. I was thinking about putting together a small form factor system using a 6800K and a 7770 small form factor. Would this be viable for playing some of these games at 1080p on a TV, with at least medium quality settings?

Thanks! I would appreciate any recommendations.

Actually I think the 5800k were able to crossfire with the 7750, but and recommends it up to a 6670. I saw a few videos on that. It was on the beta drivers. The 7770 would probably be better off by itself though. Too bad because I was hoping that the Richland apus would be as powerful as a gt 640 but it seems to me that it can only match the 6670.

I have a 6800k+7750 currently and it definitely out performs a 7770 by itself. However, i want to try a 6800k+7770. Now one has seemed to have tried this yet.

How bad are the frame pacing troubles? Have you noticed them?
It's interesting how AMD recommends a 6670 here: http://www.amd.com/us/products/technologies/dual-graphi...
Why don't they recommend the 7770? Maybe it just doesn't make an improvement over the 6670 due to the bottleneck on the APU of using the system memory.
