love playing old win 98 and xp games

just bought an all in one pc with win 8. and the 2 games i cant seem to play are need for speed 2000 and rallymasters race of champions ive tried compatability mode but still no joy. should i install xp in a partition

Sure, if the computer has XP drivers. Or install XP as a virtual machine.

Sure, if the computer has XP drivers. Or install XP as a virtual machine.


thanks h have done that now, but still trying to get my head around it re using my mouse inside the box ext and getting full screen also theres a windows thing saying ive got 30 days to get a licence but they validated my win 8 one when i applied for the download, so ive got to get that sorted aswell ill keep ye posted

If you installed XP in the virtual machine, you need to buy an XP license to activate it, the Windows 8 license does not apply.
