Alarm unit connection to siren using EOP

I want to install an alarm system and need to connect from the alarm unit to the siren. No room for a cable from the fround floor to the 1st floor ceiling . Can I connect between the siren and the main unit using EOP

EOP is Ethernet Over Power. Two devices that can be connected to power cables. Have a look on the web. These allow a range of possibilities. They range in prices but are typically around the $120 mark - depending on quality of course.
I have now found that the burglar alarm system can use EOP to conect between the floors but that leads to a whole new range of issues and costs.
