Hey again guys! So I overclocked my FX-8350 to 4.8 using a voltage of only 1.45. I decided to run prime 95 for stability testing while using HWmonitor to look after the temps. Heres my question. Hwmonitor Showed that my temperatures Plateaued at 64C for the CPU but only 55C for the package temperature. Which temperature should i be looking at? People keep telling me that the package temperature matters but from what i read everyones package temperature is always higher than what the CPU temperature reads. So is my actual CPU temperature 55C or 64C?

The core temp is what you should be concerned with mostly. That is read from the cores themselves. The package temp is a separate sensor most likely located under the heat spreader. But keep in mind, AMD only has one common core temp detector for all cores. At least that is the way it used to be on the Phenoms IIs.
