I am wondering What ram is compatible with the Asus M5A97 Evo?
Currently i have mushkin ram that is generic and it says the DRAM frequency is 686.6 Mhz. Would this type of ram be able to go into the Asus M5A97 Evo?
sorry i'm not a ram expert or anything
thanks for the responses

Ahh, but what is interesting about that, is it list 2133 DRAM and guess what - AMD basically has no line of CPUs that can RELIABLY RUN 2133....might want to read an article I wrote a while back here:

ALL mobo makers do this, list DRAM as high as they can basically - the problem as explained in my article is with say 2133, as shown in this thread, they may test the mobo with 2133 - but the problem is they test it at the mobos default boot freq - here I believe is 1333 - so yes a 2133 set will work ..... at least at 1333 it will - I always have to smile when I look at AMD mobos and see them list 2133 and even up to 2400 DRAM, especially when their flagship 8350 FX can generally/normally run 2 sticks of 1866 and occasionally hit 2 at 2133

Well actually yes you can, it's all in what and how you do it, but the point is the mobo says it runs up to 32GB of DRAM and runs 2133 DRAM - AMD has no CPUs for this mobo that reliably can even run 2133 - the 2133 sets they put on their QVL are/were tested at 1333 - who want's to put out money for 2133 sticks they can't run at 2133
