So I have an 8 year old computer and finally decided to upgrade to a haswell build. I am going to use this for mainly gaming, video editing, homework, streams and the web. I'm planning on buying the parts in the beginning of July. If you have any suggestions or changes please let me know. Also is there anything I can do to lower the price without sacrificing too much power. Should I go for the Asus Direct CU II GTX 770 or Evga GTX 770? Lastly does anyone know where to get a good cheap computer desk and chair?

I personally wouldn't bother with an H100i - get a Noctua D14 or NH-U9B instead. As for the SSD the Crucial M4 is still a good drive, but I would go for the OCZ Vector. I would also pick the EVGA card over the Asus. That keyboard and mouse you have are junk too, you can get better for your budget.

Here's a build I would suggest:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($349.99 @ Newegg Canada)
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-U9B SE2 37.9 CFM CPU Cooler ($55.99 @ Newegg Canada)
Motherboard: Asus Z87-PRO ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($204.32 @ DirectCanada)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LP 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($119.99 @ Newegg Canada)
Storage: OCZ Vector Series 128GB 2.5" Solid State Disk ($129.99 @ Canada Computers)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($67.99 @ Newegg Canada)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 770 2GB Video Card ($428.11 @ TigerDirect Canada)
Case: NZXT Switch 810 (White) ATX Full Tower Case ($169.99 @ Newegg Canada)
Power Supply: NZXT HALE 90 750W 80 PLUS Gold Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply ($115.88 @ Canada Computers)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Professional SP1 (OEM) (64-bit) ($144.99 @ Newegg Canada)
Total: $1777.24

Thanks so much for the quick reply,

Firstly if I'm going to overclock (forgot to state that) shouldn't I go for water cooling. Also why the case and power supply change? I'll go with the OCZ Vector and EVGA card and I'm just using the mouse and keyboard temporarily.

That's where the D14 comes in. If it's your first time - don't bother with water cooling or even fake water cooling (like the H100i). If you're going to use liquid, go with a full custom loop or not at all. The D14 handily beats just about every closed water block it faces. The HAF X is gigantic and you don't really need a case that big. As far as the power supply goes - Corsair makes some good supplies and some bad ones. The Hale 90 is made by Super Flower and is one of the best OEMs you can go with. The TX 850 is made by Channel Well and they're an OK OEM.
