motherboards for overclocking.

ino the i5 4670k has turbo to 3.8ghz, id like to get it to atleast 4.2ghz, is it possible with this motherboard in anyway?

It's not possible on this board, not just at poor OC-ing options allowed on B85 motherboards, but also due to the poor power design and the lacks of a mosfet cooler on this board.

if its B85 then NO . its not suitable for Overclocking !

B & P & H series are limited & cant be Overclocked that much ( maybe few mhz but that will be unnoticible & might be harmful & unstable even if temps dont go too high )

if you realy wanna Overclock it that high THEN you should go with Z boards . otherwise its pointless to get a K CPU without a Z board

by the way my personal suggestion is to not Overclock at all BECAUSE: that CPU is SOOO Powerfull at its stock speed ( specialy that it has TUrbo to 3.8 ) & ocing can shorten your CPU's Life span ! no matter how capable your hardwares are
