So I just finished my custom rig today... after about a year. I get everything installed and running. It works. Windows is on. Drivers are installed.
HOWEVER, there is an issue. Windows is failing to recognize the drivers for my Ethernet. It says that there is an unknown driver and that there is no Ethernet. I have consulted with Microsoft Support and they concluded that is was a hardware/firmware issue with the motherboard. The model I have is an ASRock 990FX Extreme3
Has this issue ever happened to someone else? And if so, how do I solve this?
I have accepted the fact that I may need to get a whole new mobo.. but I'd like to avoid that option if possible.
