new graphics card detected but not functioning correctly

hi guys, i recently bought a new HD 7870 for my pc and although it is detected by device manager it is not "functioning properly", has anyone got any advice? i have a 600w corsair psu and an msi 760gm motherboard

Did you install the drivers?

Yep, I did install them but for some reason they were not working correctly as I just reinstalled the card and latest drivers and it all good. Thanks for the reply
