Are all my components compatible and what else do I need?

I'm just a beginner at building my own pc and I don't really have any experience. It's estimated to be around $600 +. After doing some research, I decided to have these components. I wonder if each of them is compatible and won't give me any problems.

mobo: GIGABYTE GA-970A-UD3 AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Deneb 3.4GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor HDZ965FBGMBOX

GPU: SAPPHIRE 100358L Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card

RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL

HDD: Western Digital WD Blue WD10EZEX 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive - OEM

PSU: CORSAIR Builder Series CX600 600W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Case: COOLER MASTER HAF 912 RC-912-KKN1 Black SECC/ ABS Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Do you think this is going to be a decent pc? is the power supply ok and would the case be big enough? Am I missing anything else?

Any other tips would be appreciated greatly.

oh and if you have any suggestions for better and cheaper parts, that would be great!

Good system, but you are forgetting some points
Your CPU puts out allot of heat, the stock cooler you will get with the cpu is decent, but not good enough in most situations. Look for an aftermarket CPU cooler, like a Coolermaster Hyper212 Plus. Its cheap and does the job very well.

Also your CPU is awesome for the price, but i would go for the AMD FX-4100. Has about the same price but performs better(both has goods and bads, but the fx wins mostly) The FX-4100 will fit in your mobo.

Other than that your system is good, and everything will fit in your case.

Thanks! that was a lot of help. I was comparing the AMD Phenom II with the AMD FX-4100 beforehand, so now I will go with the AMD FX-4100. btw if I buy a CPU fan, do I have to apply the thermal paste myself or is it pre-applied?
