use 8 pin to molex adapter? I need to turn my 8 pin to 2 molexs

I have a modular PSU and i need more molex connectors. Can i use a adapter like the one below to get two extra molex connectors?

I think the adapter is for those who dont have the 8 pin. But will it work the other way around if i connect the 8 pin to my power supply and get two extra molexs.


My GPU only uses one 8 pin adapter so i have a free one that i would like to connect to molexs as i need them for usb 3.0 pcie card etc.

if you are powering fans with the molex then just use a splitter cable

Agreed, use a splitter cable if whatever your powering isn't going to be sucking down much.
A splitter cable wont reduce your fan speed, to do that you need voltage adapters.
