How do I get rid of a Blocker Virus?

I have a blocker virus on my laptop; what is the best piece of free software to fix it? (serious problems, so something that always works and is trustworthy would be great!) Thanks so much, _

Use a live antivirus cd. Its like a live linux distro but with av capability as well. Here is a list of a few, you should be able to recognize the big names and find their latest versions.
