I don't know why people want PC streaming. If I wanted to play a game with a controller I would get one with a USB port and sit on my bed, which is about the same distance that zero-latency streaming would reach. I play PC because I like keyboard and mouse and I don't want to play on a controller anyway.

I'm also a PC gamer for the sake of having a keyboard and mouse. However, I have a couple gamepads, for when friends come over, or for things like racing games; one of the few genres where a gamepad is a much better form of controller.

You're absolutely wrong about the streaming, though. It works through your local area network, so it'll perform the same if you're on your bed or 30 feet away from your computer.

You can also play while taking a dump. That would alone be worth the price... Well maybe not but you get the idea. As long as you're in good signal range from your router you're good to game anywhere!

For games that I don't use a keyboard/mouse on I want PC streaming. One less reason to even look at a console for me. Android games out of the house isn't bad either. Wifi so I can browse at mcdonalds etc not bad either. It has all android apps. Shield is better for me not to mention T4. Worth $100 right there. Far better games with 6x the gpu power not to mention cpu power.

All of these hypes, are just that, a hype. Most of these products won't last enough to make an impact. Just another piece of Garbage. Google glass is the way to go, when Google introduced the glasses, they've changed the game for the whole industry. Why would I want to spend my ca$h on this under-rated device, when in about two years (or a little bit more then that) from now, Google Play market will have games equivalent (in production, designe and quality) to the ones on the PC. I won't need a controller either as everything will be done with my head, eyes, and eye lids. Gaming will be different.

Vider, do you honestly think that in two years, not only is Glass going to be powerful enough to play games, but those games will be AAA productions?

It takes two years to MAKE those games, and Glass is a woefully underpowered gadget that, even if it could play games, could only do so for a few minutes before running out of battery.

So let's say that you do have this "perfect glass" with an infinite power source, and you're playing, I dunno, CoD. You're going to be in so much pain it wouldn't even be funny. Look at the headsets made for gaming right now - they rely on small twitches in the forehead to predict your moves, and even those cause severe eye strain. Now imagine what you're saying. Our eyes aren't designed to be active participants; they're designed to be passive observers.

Hard to believe this without tons of complaints, and this is in a huge tablet format not a phone. Also it may be a die shrunk version. T4 is the same die size as T3 and it is running in a gamepad at 1.9. You couldn't sell them there if they all overheated right? I'm not saying T3 is fast, but Tomshardware used that phone for their TEGRA Zone review article in Jan and had no complaints.

Ya I would hope that some of the new devices perform a bit better. It's all due to the gpu and cpu clocks being synchronized to conserve power. Rooting is a good ways round this but it's very hard for beginners to android like me. Hopefully Tegra 4 will have independent processors in that respect. But, coming from experience (and this is now my second one x+) any demanding game (even hillclimb racing at times, with sound on) lags terribly and heats up the phone like crazy.

They should have put at least 2 gigs of RAM in it before calling it a gaming tablet. And the CPU is now outdated. Not a bad concept, but likely doomed to fail due to weak application.

On 2nd one still heating issues? Do you have a bad one again (HTC QA suck?)? I looked up hill climb racing on googleplay and that is not what I'd call demanding of T3 at all.

Every game on Tegrazone should play fine considering these are all made T3 and T2 and nothing yet aimed at T4 (as the game specs pages show on tegrazone). The heating is odd, and makes me think they gave you a bad refurb too. T3+ is in the ONE X+ and is better thermals than T3 regular (should be or I think it's bad). Toms had no issue in 12 or so games when testing that model. I hope you can get that fixed still under warranty or something, it sounds defunct. You should be able to point out a game and say it's malfunctioning as these are Tegra games and should play fine.

Since you are playing a driving game, check out zombie driver hd, which is made for Tegra. It's in the list and the entire screen is moving the whole time, far more taxing than your game. I just watched the movie again, it's pretty nice. You would have to have some kind of problem to be taxed by hill climb. They are massively different. It's a fast game too. Good luck.

OK, just watched the vid on your game...A lot of movement but no comparison in textures and effects (and a lot of solid colors/backgrounds in yours). I still think you have some issue in the phone.

I see what you're saying, I have many other much more demanding games, including MC4. The issue with making a gaming tablet with Tegra is, if you want a game to run even half decent, you have to get it from the TegraZone app, if you get an app that's not optomized, the gpu is throttled when the CPU is taxed and you get a TON of lag, refer to this article for more info: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1969840

On that thread a user writes: "We had this problem with the original one x too, its due to the gpu clock being synchronized with the cpu clock. that means that if the cpu load it high, per say a tegrazone game like shadowgun, then the gpu scales up as well alowing for fluid gameplay even with detailed graphics. However this also means that when the cpu load is light, i.e temple run, the gpu will hardly scale at all implying that the phone will lag with simple games like doodle jump but not graphics heavy games like dead trigger. Games like asphalt 7 lag because the game probably only uses 1 or 2 core, thus the gpu is only at around %50 power. Hamdir found a way to run the gpu independently but we`ll have to wait for proper root and custom recovery for that."

Here's an example of why Tegra<Basically every other architecture out right now. In Real Racing 3, you can see that the One X+ struggles to maintain above 10-15 fps, whereas in the other video, the dual core One X (not +) is running at 2-3 times the framerate:
