I've noticed this again and again. My thread, as an example, got closed after I ''bumped'' it.

Instead of answering, or at least try to help me with my issue he told me not to bump threads. I do now that this was wrong on my side as well but if that's how hthey're going to treat things as such, get rid of them.

I'm sure this isn't going to help. If I were you I would remove this post before you get permanently banned without any warning. Trust me.

If I get permanently banned for giving constructive criticism, well that's just low. (I doubt they would do it though)

In my post I'm not referring to anyone in specific, I'm just saying that they should take a look at the current moderation team.

Well if you can't read or understand the rules of the forum maybe you should go and they should stay.

''Bump posts, claim "first!" ''

I already admited that, that was wrong. Anything else I'm doing wrong here?

And spare the whole ''can't read'' thing, doesn't make you sound ''cooler''.

Since you know it is against the rules simply don't do it again and don't whine because some called you on it.

Read my post again. It's not that I'm complaining about.

Another thing, if this section is called ''Forum Feedback'' I doubt I'm getting banned for this.

No one's going to ban you for voicing your concerns, so long as this doesn't turn into a "MODS SUCK, I HATE YOU ALL" kind of thread.

Anyway, as bignasty has pointed out, and as you have acknowledged, bumping is against the rules.

This rule is in place for a few different reasons. The main reason, is that should we allow it, everyone would do it. The majority of posts wouldn't have long enough to be seen before being buried by other users bumping their threads.

If no one has answered your thread for more than a couple days, maybe you should review it and try to think of reasons why. Have you given enough information for us to be able to help you? Are you using proper punctuation, and avoiding massive walls of text in order to make it easy to read?

The better put together your thread is, the more likely you are to get a response.

So with that in mind - wait a couple days, if you don't get a response: re-post with more information, don't bump.

The Rules forbid the word "bump" so the whole place doesn't get filled up with posts that just say that at the expense of newer questions being forced down the page. However, constructive ways of putting your thread to the fore would probably get past us - try
"hi, me again - I had a cup of coffee and suddenly remembered I'd forgotten to post my CPU rating/voltage/collar size/breed of dog to my original post. Does this help find me an answer to my problem?"

We aren't ogres you know - we all started off as posters just like you are but the Forum has to have Rules and someone has to keep an eye on things.

EDIT - You didn't hear this from me.

Saga Lout and Apanzee are spot-on in their responses - and really the proscription of bumping is a simple matter of keeping the ecosystem of the forum healthy. Forums where they let users bump ad nauseum tend to get filled with pointless posts that help no one and keep threads alive that should have otherwise died. This unfortunately does mean that some decent posts will be caught up in the natural pruning process, but you can always wait and repost.

agree.

bumping posts is not helpful at all.

if the thread did not get answered there may have been a reason such as you not providing enough information. or it could simply have been missed as the forum can be a busy place.

reposting more information or a few ideas adds to the original post and can assist us in getting you an answer. repling BUMP every 15 minutes just because you dont get an immediate response is not helpful at all and as the moderators stated it clogs up the forum.
