I currently have 4GB of ADATA AX3U2000XB2G9-EF ver.2.0 and want to add another 4GB of ADATA AX3U2000GB2G9-2G (only because I can't find the exact set that I already have) They both are rated at 2000mhz, CL 9-9-9-24 and voltages of 1.55-1.75V. The only problem i see is that the set I have now is XMP certified, where I can't seem to find if the 2nd set has XMP. I am using an ASRock Extreme3 and Core i7 3770. So my question is do you think this will cause a conflict?:??:

Might, you'' probably have to go into the advanced timings and prob have to adjust the tRFC would guess about 130 or so or, will prob need to raise DRAM voltage to 1.7 and the CPUVTT to 1.14

Thanks for the quick response Tradesman1. Maybe I'll take a chance, buy the 2nd set and hope for the best. I don't want to get rid of the set I have now because all I did was set the XMP profile and BAM! it runs at 2000mhz @1.65v with no glitches and my memory benchmarks are off the chains!

Mentioned the possible problems because the XMP settings are programmed by package and settings for a 2 stick set differ from a 4 stick, and tRFC is the big one, your BIOS may be able to set it through auto if your just set on auto, and manually input the freq and base timings, but still may have to raise the voltages as mentioned since it's not a matched set - Just wanted you to be prepared for 'possibles'

Gotcha, that was a very informative analysis. I will go through that tRFC setting you mentioned as well as the other timer settings. I will give an update as well when I get the other set installed.
Thanks for the heads up too!:D

OK Tradesman1, here's an update. I added the 2 sticks (with the other 2 that I have) of RAM in today and noticed the 2000mhz XMP profile disappeared from the UEFI. I manually set the speed to 2000mhz in the "DDR SPEED" setting but it kept boot looping, time to reset. I then swapped each set out at a time and the 2000mhz XMP profile reappeared for each set. I then played around with slot positioning, running at stock clocks, each set overclocked to 2000mhz. Time for a new test. I decided to put all 4 sticks back in and check CPUID/CPU-Z and noticed that my memory timings with all 4 sticks read 9-14-14-36 and voltage was down to 1.40 running @1333mhz. That's when I knew I needed to manually change everything to ADATA specs of 9-9-9-24 and 1.65v for all the sticks, now they all are running at 2000mhz. Here is my AIDA64 Benchmarks...................READ 30388 -- WRITE 30571 -- COPY 29236 -- LATENCY 47.4.

Hope this will help others in the future and thanks for your help too!
