Hi everyone,
Well for 3 months i was thinking about getting a gaming pc, till E3 came and somehow the PS4 attracted me. Now im confused: Gaming PC or PS4?
Well first of all if i get a gaming pc i will pay about £680 without monitor and i will get this rig:
FX-8350
Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 FleX OC 3GB GDDR5
8GB Corsair Vengeance RAM
MSI 990FXA-GD65 mobo
Quite good rig i think for my money.

Well canu help me ? I never played on PC expect when i was 9 years old i played FIFA 06, then i got my PS3 in 2008 and since then i played only on the console.
Some exclusive games like MGS V and the Order 1886 and inFamous: Second Son are quite interesting so im confused help me Please :)

Thank You

this isn't even the only thread about this at the top of the forums :)

however, the PC you ar looking at is much better than the PS4. The PS4's overall capabilities are roughly in line with the price you'll pay for it -- pretty similar to a $400 computer.

In terms of hardware, computers will always be better, and the rig you've got there will be able to process loads more calculations than the ps4 without even thinking about all the upgrades that will be available before the ps4 is replaced.
Also in favour of the pc is that some games (total war) will never be released for console, and most games will be cheaper through steam than the standard £50 for playstation,

BUT THATS NOT THE ONLY CONSIDERATION. I think consoles are loads more playable; for example how many people play their pc in the living room actually WITH their mates? (I don't count playing against friends online as socialising) Not many.
And how easy is it to use your mouse and keyboard whilst on the sofa and trying not to spill your beer? Not very.
And I think the clinching argument: how many pc gamers have girlfriends? Not enough.

That's the trade-off. Personally i've gone for the best option, i have my own gaming desktop and live with housemates who are always going to buy consoles for the living room.
