Hello. thank you for helping , or atleast trying to!!
i've been trying to build a gaming computer for quite somewhile.
although , i just cant seem to pick up good parts etc.
recently a friend showed me some parts and said it can run everything on ultra settings , except "metro:the last light" , "crysis 3" and some other high end titles.
here is the Specification:
Intel Quad-Core i5 3470 3.2Ghz 6MB Tray
Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H
Crucial 4GB DDR3 1600Mhz 1.5V CL11
Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 1TB SATA3
Sapphire 7870 XT 2GB GDDR5 with BOOST
LG DVD-RW x22 Dual Layer Sata Black

Will this setup be able to run today games on high?? or even ultra??
Thank you so much for your help!!

perhaps they answered and then deleted it for some reason...

in any case.... a few comments..

i'm not so sure about the 7870 boost being able to max out any games. read some benchmarks such as this one. remember if it struggles now its only going to get worse. i would suggest buying a better gpu (7950 or 7970 or perhaps a nvidia card) instead. as far as running on high? if you turn down anti-aliasing then maybe but consult the charts. ideally you want 60fps but no less than 40.

you want 8gb ram minimum.

i'd suggest lising your budget here as well as expectation and what games you want to play at what resolution and settings.

someone can then come along and suggest you something. better yet you may want to move this post over to the /systems/ subsection since its much busier and you will get many more answers.
