Here's the link for the overall build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/15CWj

Could someone please review this build for me, I need help with:
  • Checking for part compatibility
  • Suggestions and advice especially about the product quality of different parts such as the PSU, GPU, and RAM
  • Choosing fans
  • Choosing a CPU cooler

  • Computer Specs:
    CPU Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core
    Motherboard Asus Z87-DELUXE ATX LGA1150
    Memory Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1866
Storage Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM
Video Card Gigabyte Radeon HD 7970 3GB
Case NZXT Phantom (Black) ATX Full Tower
    Power Supply Silverstone 1000W ATX12V / EPS12V
Optical Drive Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer

Also I was looking at this as a fan option: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

The purpose of this build is for gaming with high-end games such as Crysis 3 as well as Battlefield 3 and soon Battlefield 4, the basics such as home use and creating documents, and maybe video editing in the future. I'm working on this build with current games and specs in mind as well as the future. I want this desktop to last for a long time both in its life span and keeping up-to-date with gaming.

Alright I'm trying to figure out if it will fit or not, I don't actually have any of this yet as I'm still in the picking process. When it comes to hardware I'm somewhat of a noob outside of the major components like the processor and graphics card. What do I do for the case fans?
Also I knew that the PSU was a lot and I guess that I pigged-out. Is it alright if I stick with Silverstone or is there something wrong with that brand? I'll be lowering the power down to 750 watts like you suggested.

Try to bear with me on the posting, I just joined the site today because Yahoo Answers wasn't very successful :hum:

I changed over to the XFX PSU and the CPU cooler will fit.

Now I need help with the case fans. Are the fans that come with the case adequate or should I get different fans? If not is NZXT still a good brand for fans?

Also an additional question, my router is downstairs and this desktop might be upstairs. So if I wanted to connect to the internet would I need a wireless network adapter?

Do you have a N spec router?

    Honestly I don't know. It's just the default router that AT&T gave me. It's a 2wire i38HG

I was just thinking about this again. I know that this CPU cooler will fit in the case, but I'm worried about whether or not the dual fans will fit on the motherboard. Will the length of the CPU cooler interfere with other components on the motherboard such as the RAM, or is it all good under the hood?
