Help with Licensing

I recently built a new computer and thought I'd save myself a hundred bucks by getting Windows 7 from my work (through a volume license) for very cheap, but after installing Windows 7, I realized that my office doesn't have permission to purchase licenses right now. Now I seem to be stuck between a rock and a hard place. I am willing to shell out the money for the software at full price now, but if I go purchase it from Best Buy, will inputting the activation code on this computer give me any problems? Thank you all.

if i buy the version I have installed on this computer from Best Buy (I don't have time to wait for them to ship nor want to pay $80 extra to have the one day shipping) will the activation code work?

Are they the same version?

As long as they are , it should work , use the automated phone activation to activate if the initial activation fails.
