Hi, i recently had the psu in my system burnout. The system is
intel i3
Windows 7 home premium
Gigabyte h55m-ud2h
The psu has been replaced with an ace 500w a- 500br but since this was fitted the system freezes/locks system almost immediately when turned on. It works fine running with no crashes on the onboard vga when the graphics card (nvidia gts450) is disabled. I believe a message came up about a nvidea recovering after sone sort of problem. Have tried reinstalling the graphics card but still freezes. Is this likely to be a need to replace the graphics card?

it might be possible that when your psu had took burnout he took your gpu with..but before reaching on this conclusion you might want to rule out your RAM first..uninstall your GPU driver and detach your GPU as well as your RAM.....clean them off the dust...reattach them and install your gpu with latest nvidia driver..and see how it ends...i think it is related with driver or ram so give a shot and ensure that u attach your 6 pin power connector well with your gts 450
