Hi, guys,

I wanna build a new system, around $2200

Haswell & GTX780 just came out, I'm not sure this is a good time to buy, maybe the price will drop after a few weeks?

Also I don't know if those parts can fit into Cooler Master HAF X or not

What do you guys think? Any suggestions? Bty, This is mine 1st time trying to build a desktop.

CPU : Intel Core i7-4770K Haswell 3.5 GHZ 8 MB Cache $350
Fun : Cooler Master Seidon 240M Liquid Cooling System $ 90
Motherboard : ASUS Z87-PRO $210
Graphics Card : EVGA GeForce GTX780 SuperClocked ACX Cooler $660
Memory : Corsair Dominator Platinum 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600 $140
SSD : Samsung 840 Pro 256 GB $220
Hard Drive : Western Digital Caviar Black 2 TB $160
Power Supply : Corsair AX860i Digital $200
Case : Cooler Master HAF X Full Tower $180
Total: $2210

Hey, is this just for gaming? If so, you can drop the i7 and 16gb of ram to an i5 and 8gb, and you won't notice the change in performance. You could put the money you saved into a(nother) monitor.

I dunno about the CPU as I have a 3770K but I just wanted to tell you that the 780SC is just an unbelievable card performance wise, not only is it really fast but it runs cold, I am in NZ, and the card Idles at 24-30 degrees and peaks highest in crysis 3 at 61-64 degrees.

From what I understand the 4770K still suffers from poor thermal grease inbetween the IHS and processor core causing high temps when clocked up , it really is a shame they didnt fix that. I hear many people are de-lidding their haswell chips even though that obviously voids warranty.

The parts will definitely fit into that case. It's a big case. Your build is similar to mine - only difference being I'm going for 2 of those graphics cards (see my thread ("$4000 dollar build....)
