You can do better for $700. The FX is decent but there's better options out there, and you can definitely get a better video card.

looks quite good but i would recommend a higher end gpu and you don't require a 620 watt psu a 500 or even a 450 watt would be fine.

Yeah but for a $750 budget it'd be tough to squeeze in something like a 7870 XT or a 660TI without cutting corners.

I didn't see your recommendation of the boost as that is a very decent card. Also if I was you I would stick with the fx or opt for an i3 as that will leave more budget for a graphics card

So your thinking stick with the fx 6300 and switch the GPU to a 650 TI boost?

The rig I am replacing had a Radeon 3850 with a Phenom I and it worked great for the years I have had it. Is there anythign wrong with Radeon 7700 or is the 650 TI boost just way superior. I'll drop the PSU down and save some money there (I had a 650W in case I ever added another GPU or anything).

And whats wrong with that case? Newegg had it bundled with the mobo so I thought why not. Looked kinda cool and had the front ports, tool-less entry and window I was looking for.

I had a boost for a few month it ran battlefield 3 on high settings at around 55fps average so it is powerful enough and a big jump from the 650ti
