I'm building a high-end system soon. I want it to be upgradeable in future, so what's the best socket to get (Intel). I was looking at the LGA 2011 for the i7-3820, but I've seen a lot of recommendations for the LGA 1155. If I'm going to upgrade in 2-3 years, which one to go with?
What are the advantages of LGA 1150 over 2011 or 1155? Is it just newer?
LGA 2011 is the best and will probably be alive longer than LGA 1150, but it comes with a higher price tag. LGA 1150 is the newest socket, and will have more upgrade options in the future over LGA 1155.
