A new $1000~$1200 build, would like advice/opinions

I am very new to this site, I hope I can get some advice and opinions on this build.
It's been a while since I have built a new computer, so I forgot, but: do I need a CD/DVD Drive or Burner in order to download windows 7? (Or maybe it doesn't matter?)

Approximate Purchase Date: by tomorrow or next Monday hopefully

Budget Range: $1000~1200 After Shipping

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, surfing the Internet, etc.

Are you buying a monitor: No


Do you need to buy OS: No

SLI or Crossfire: I forgot what these were (I think 2 graphic cards?) but No.

You get unparalleled performance for the price. You can spend extras to get an extreme 4 board if you want to SLI, but you don't need to, it won't make much of a difference unless you SLI.

Also, get the 840 Pro if you want to spend the extra 30$.

This should give you the ultimate performance for around this price.
