Any 1155 socket will run any newer generation i-Core CPU that fits it as long as the BIOS is updated for that chip. They are all backward compatible with older chips however. The chipset is not the determining factor for CPU compatibility. The socket and BIOS version is. Did you have a particular CPU/MB in mind?
