I let someone buy me a brand new RAM Memory from Computer World just hours ago to pair with my existing Kingston HyperX Blue. Unfortunately, she bought a different Kingston HyperX Black. I know its kinda silly but I'm no computer expert. Can you guys help me? Are both RAMs compatible with each other? If not, I'll swap it with the store.

Here are some info on the memory modules:

HyperX Blue

Is the color the only difference?

Thanks for your time :bounce:

Appear to be same since use the same tRC and tRAS, different heatsink colors, may not want to play together as the tRFC for a single stick is prob in the 120 range, and for 2 will need about the 200 range. If any problems, give me a holler, we'll reset the tRFC and may need a hair more DRAM voltage. Generally not a good idea to mix sets from different packages when at 1600 and above unless comfortable with advanced timings and voltage control
