Hey guys, I saw another thread almost exactly like this one but he had a different MOBO than me. Here's my build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/16sRq
I know nothing of CAS, timing, or volatage. So my choices may suck

I want 2 x 4GB of RAM for under $70.

Here's some of my choices so far: (They may suck, let me know)

1) G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB)
Has weird timing of 9-9-9-24-2n (Not sure if good or bad)

2) Corsair Vengeance 8 GB ( 2 x 4 GB ) DDR3 1600 MHz (PC3 12800)
Pretty standard RAM

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004CRSM4I/?tag=pcpapi-20

3) G.SKILL Sniper Low Voltage Series 8GB (2 x 4GB)
Has low voltage (again, not sure if good or bad lulz)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231461&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

4) Kingston Technology Hyper X 8GB
Not as bulky as the other heat-sinkers

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004JO3L40/?tag=pcpapi-20

5) Mushkin Enhanced Blackline 8GB (2 x 4GB)
1.35v RAM, not sure if good or bad, not bulky either.

Hello,:hello:

All the memory modules look similar in specification except the voltage. They are all great sets. The GSKill Sniper Low voltage has 1.25v which I have not encountered so far so i'm not sure if it will run smooth.

I would recommend you to go with the lowest priced memory as there isn't much difference between them. IMO, Brand wise - Gskill, Corsair, Kingston and Mushkin. You can go with either GSkill RipJaws or Kingston Hyperx. You can go with Corsair vengeance only if you are sure that the CPU cooler will not block the memory slots. Voltage you can go with either 1.35v or 1.5v. Good luck. If you need value ram then try here - Click here!!

Cheers!! Sayonara :sourire:

Why does it say for Sandy Bridge? Also says a fulfilled by Amazon deal, seems sketchy.

Legenda in Aeternum
Have no idea about the Amazon thing, I buy through NewEgg, had some bad experiences w/ Amazon...on Sandy Bridge, when the line (the X line, prior was the regular Ripjaws, and after was the Ripjaws Z line) was originally designed the Advanced timings are geared a little towards the Sandy Bridge CPUs and the 1155 socket (the Z are geared towards socket 2011 and true quad-channel), but regardless of design they all work well in all systems, however from my experience (and I don't build on the AMD platform, but am doing repairs and upgrades all the time, whenever I get a rig in, I'll test with different DRAM and other components - especially DRAM, because I volunteer on GSkill's forums (I'm an Admin), so it helps me to know what works well with different mobos, CPUs, etc....Of GSkill's lines on AMD it's Snipers, Ripjaws X, Trident (in lower freqs), Ares, Ripjaws Z, Ripjaws...I also use other brands and of course test with whatever I have around, which is a pretty fair selection as I offer a bit on old DRAM as a tradein when people upgrade to bigger faster sticks
