cpu overclocking question

I have an Intel Core 2 Quad q6600 in my system, and i would like to overclock it until i can get a replacement. My problem is that it is in a Dell XPS 720, and is locked down in the bios. Is there any way for me to overclock the chip within the windows environment? Preferably without having to pay for software. Thanks for the help!

i do not think so, and if u even could i would never trust the parts that come in a prebuilt pc even something like a alienware to overclock
