motherboard beeps after connecting new corsair psu

i bought a new corsair vs650w psu today ...after connecting my motherboard started to beep ........ i removed my graphic card still it beeped what has gone wrong???....i have upgraded from 250w to 650w...

Did you connect the CPU ATX cable? What make/model was the old PSU?
