Please tell me if I did well or if I'm an idiot.

What is the maximum amount of money you can spend on buying your parts? If you tell I can select the parts for you.

CPU: You don't need a i7 for gaming and get a haswell cpu like the i5 4670k.
CPU Cooler: A liquid cooled one is the best
Motherboard: Depends on budget and preference.
Memory: Cheapest you can find at 8Gb max and either 1600mhz or 1866mhz.
Storage: A small ssd for the os and a large hdd for normal storage.
GPU: Depends on your budget.
PSU: 750w if your going to sli later on or 600w if your not.
Case: Depends on preferences, but probably a ATX mid tower.
OS: Operating system costs money as well.

Is liquid cooled something that is easy to mess up or will I be fine in a few YouTube videos?
I do plan to SLI later, so I'll up.
I have an OS.
Does the case matter much if you don't liquid cool.(Still not sure if I want to take that risk...)

You really need to say what your budget is.

Corsairs cpu water cooling comes pre made so those are hassle free.

I don't understand what you mean by the case and liquid cooling.

Sorry, under $1300.
I might get water cooling then.
I meant the case/housing/holds-it-together thing. Are they built differently for liquid cooled?
Sorry for misunderstandings and thanks for helping me. :)

Some cases are built for liquid cooling, but with normal cases size is the issue when it comes to liquid cooling because of the piping and etc.

Im too lazy too pick out the parts, try picking them out yourself with my advice and if your going to record gameplay I recommend getting something like the avermedia live gamer hd. Recording software like fraps really hits the performance of your computer.
