Good to all, I was hunting to find a good laptop for my profession, 3d modeling/animation/rendering, I use revit, 3ds max, sketchup and after effects. I then came across two breed of laptops, namely the workstation and gaming. I want to produce great renderings and 3d modeling, however in my leisure time I also do some gaming (like skyrim, farcry3 and battlefield 3 etc), but I don't want two separate systems just one. Which would be the ideal choice? My budget is $2000 - 2500.
Oh I'll like no desktop versions cause I'll be moving a lot, thanks.

If I be you I would go for a Gaming Laptop which has a decent Graphics card. Workstation laptop's are good for your professional work but not good for gaming. Gaming laptop's can do both provided it has a decent GPU. This is only my personal opinion. Good Luck.

Yes, go for the gaming laptop. A high-end gaming laptop will be good enough to handle all your work-related needs.
