$2000 budget and I want a gaming PC

I feel like such a noob. I have no clue where to begin!

I want to buy a gaming PC. Should I build my own or buy a pre built one? I have heard that building your own is the best idea, but i have NO idea what to buy! Im very new to the PC Gamer stuff, but i really want to learn. If anyone could please give me any assistance in getting started it would be very much appreciated. Thanks!
