So my brother gave me a completely wiped drive. It was formatted and nothing was on it. He also gave me a Windows XP Pro CD. So, I booted from the disc and loaded xp onto the harddrive. After that, I switch back to the harddrive boot and it is telling me that NTLDR is missing. I fix that. Then It tells me Hal.dll is missing. I fix that. Then it tells me Ntoskrnl.exe is missing. I fix that. THEN, it tells me C:\Windows\system32\config\system is missing. I cant fix that. Someone tell me why all this is happening to a freshly installed windows xp, and no, I can not get pass the boot screen. I need support ASAP, thankyou in advance.

I've repaired it about 10 times already and I get the same results over and over again. I am missing NTLDR along with a hand full of other files. I would just go through the setup, but some of them I cannot retrieve, or atleast I do not know how to.
