Hi all,

Looking for purchase a gaming monitor, currently have an Asus 27" 1920x1080 monitor and looking for a higher res with my GTX 680. Mainy play BF3.

Im liking the look of the Dell U2711 but people complain about the reflective coating and it may be too slow for gaming. Then we have the new Dell U2713 however again this may be too slow. I love the look of the 2560x1080 extra wide monitors but loosing that much verticle doesnt seem that sensible. Looked at some other 27" versions and people complain about back light bleed. As you can see totally confused, read lots of reviews and still stuck. So any BF3 gamers or even gamers out there, your opinions would be appreciated.

Currently using Asus PB278Q and couldnt be happier. I dont play a lot of shooters, so I can't comment on that, but this monitor is quite superb. Zero backlight bleeding, has native DP support as well, and is reasonably priced too.

I should warn you though, going up from 1080p to 1440p will tax your graphic card a LOT. 2GB Ram will run out very quickly on demanding games at max settings. Although I think you should be ok with BF3, but still keep this in mind when you go to 1440p.

I have an Auria 27" 2560x1440. I really like it. I've been playing a lot of CSGO and can't tell a difference in input lag between that and my 5ms TN panel. For $400 you can't beat it, well if there is a Microcenter in your area that is. My 7870 can play most games on high with AA off so your 680 will work fine at this res.

Thanks guys, I did look at the Asus PB278Q but people moaning about the light bleed put me off, but like most things, I guess they are being (I hope) picky. Anyhow, its seems the lesser of all evils, so will probably go with the Asus.

thanks all
