Hey guys. :) I have been looking at those laptops. Which one do you think is the best?? And is good enough to play: Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, Battlefield 3, League of Legends and Minecraft??

1) ASUS K56CB-XO167H |Intel Core i7| |8GB Ram | | 750GB Harddisk| |2.0 GHz| |GeForce GT 740M|

2) Acer Aspire v3-571g-5323 |Intel Core i5| |16GB Ram|
|1000GB Harddisk| |2.6 GHz| |GeForce GT 730M|
More about : asus k56cb acer aspire 571g

That's a tough one...I'd say that they'd actually be pretty close in performance.

If you could get more detail on what kind of processor the Acer has that would be helpful - if it's a dual core i5 I would knock that out of the running and get the Asus. But if it's a quad core I'd say that you're better off getting the Acer as it has a higher clock speed, more RAM and only a slightly slower video card.

Granted, 16GB of RAM is a bit overkill (I have 16GB of RAM in my system and it doesn't even get close to utilizing all of it when playing Call of Duty or Battlefield 3) so that's not too much of an issue.

I would also see if you can go someplace to get a physical look at either or both of the laptops. Build quality with the laptop is going to make a huge difference in the performance and longevity of the system...you can have a top of the line laptop, but if the cooling on it sucks then it will be bottlenecked as the GPU and CPU throttle down on speed in order to save on thermals.

I'd say ASUS, just because the builds are more dependable, and the product quality never ceases to amaze me. 740M and i7 will beat 730m and i5 any day.

(unless the i7 is say, a dual and the i5 is a quad)

but overall quality, ASUS is the best, I've had an Asus laptop for quite a few years, and it still works like new!

But isn´t 2.0 GHz too slow? :)

Not necessarily. Battlefield 3 actually makes use of a quad core and in multi-threaded applications the larger the number of cores the better the performance.

It really comes down to us needing to know exactly what kind of processor both of the laptops have. Especially with regards to whether or not they're dual core or quad core.

I´ll try to find a description of the laptops, to find out the exact name of the processors. But i know both of them have Dual Core.

xD well if they are both Dual-Core, the i7 would still be better :p
