Looking for a new monitor 27in

Im looking around samsung, but is there a huge difference from 1920x1080 to 2650x1440? cuz some on their 16:9 monitors do not offer 2650x1440. And it is for a gaming computer, so which resolution would look the best?

There is a huge difference in how 2650 vs 1920 looks like, but also would probably be a large cost difference as well. The higher resolution would have a lot smaller text and sharper images, especially when siting at desk vs TV distance.

For gaming, you will also need a powerfull video card and fast CPU to play at 2650 resolution. So there are + and - to both sides.

In the $200+ range for sure to start to play at above Low quality. nVidia GTX660, Radeon 7870, around there. Along with a very fast dual/quad core CPU. A Core 2 Duo at 3 gig with a 660 is probalby the least you'd want to run for a "gaming" system, even then the CPU would have issues in many new games.
