I don't know whether my memory or my graphics cards are dying.

So, I've been having a problem with my computer for a while now. I will be going along, doing stuff, and the video will suddenly cut out, and if any audio was playing, it will do a stutter loop.

Now, at first, I thought it was a problem with my graphics cards, perhaps over heating, but it's happened outside of graphics intensive processes, such as surfing the internet. Also, I've monitored the temp as I've played, and when it crashed, it didn't seem to be higher than normal temps (High 70s).

I thought it might be a bad DIMM, but MEMTEST+ didn't give me any errors.

I've only tried a couple software tests, nothing physical so far. Do you guys have any ideas for how I should move forward?

32.0GB DDR3 @ 668MHz (9-9-9-24) ?? Perhaps the ram is 16gb @ 1333mhz.. it's just wrong, what is the make and model of the ram?

Quad Channel Memory Architecture which means that you need 4 x 4gb Quad Channel ram which would fill one channel with 4 sticks of ram
You would need 4x 4gb in Channel 1 and 4 x 4gb of Quad Channel ram in channel 2 to acquire 32gb of ram.

GTX 580 specifcations -
http://www.geforce.co.uk/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-580/specifications
1x 6-pin & 1- 8-pin connectors for each video card
Maximum power 244 watts per video card.
PSU 600 watts just for one so I'd say that you'd need about 960 watt PSU for two cards as well as your other hardware.

I took a snapshot using speccy, I don't know why it is clocked so low. The Task Manager is reporting 1333 MHz, which is honestly a little low. I bought two sets of this. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0033BTACM/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1m So I don't know why it's not clocking at 1600 MHz. I'll check in the BIOS. And yes, I do have eight physical DIMMs in my rig, all 4GB each.

As for my power supply, I have a 1000W PSU, so unless that's failing, I don't think it's a power issue. It's modular, so maybe one of the rails is going? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004P1IWZU/ref=oh_details_o03_s01_i03?ie=UTF8&psc=1

When I ran MEMTEST+, it reported 32GB memory, but Speccy is currently saying that, while I do have 32, four of my DIMM slots are empty, which is blatantly untrue. Maybe that's the problem? If one of my DIMMs died, would the computer recognize only one channel as active, and just halve the clock speed to boost the physical memory amount? Is that even possible?

The tech details of the ram states it's Quad Channel ram, you need to occuppy all four slots of Channel 1 for it to be 16gb
http://www.amazon.com/Kingston-Technology-Modules-KHX1600C9D3K4-16GX/dp/tech-data/B0033BTACM/ref=de_a_smtd

2 sets of 4x4gb, you can't mmix the ram even though they are all basically the same, the 4 sticks need to be all of the same set, per channel.
If one stick died then only 2 would be recognized (as dual channel), of the 4,. the 3rd one being left out of the loop.
If you have overclocked or changed the voltages, reset them to default settings.

edit -
As for the video cards, you have to use proper cables directly from the PSU, you cannot be using mollex adapters...
