Hello! I am thinking of building a pc for gaming and a little bit of streaming (720p). Thus I have been running through parts and running numbers. This is a bit of a weird build. I an trying to keep this as cheap as possible without making the system suck. At first my budget was $800 with an i7-4770k but apparently the i5 will do just as well. So why not save money? I'd rather not spend $800 if i don't need to but if I need than I shall. This is what I came up with after looking around for some deals.

All prices are after discounts and rebates.

Processor: Intel i5-4670k $199.99
Mobo: MSI Z87-G41 PC Mate $59.99
Memory: 8GB Crucial Ballistix Sport 1600Ghz $54.99
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon 7870 Ghz Edition $199.99
PSU: Corsair CX Series CX750W 12V $64.99
HDD:Toshiba 1TB 7,200 RPM SATA 6.0 Gb/s $59.99
SDD: Samsung 840 120GB SATA 6.0 Gb/s $79.99

Total w/ tax after rebates and discounts: $ 746.43

I already have a case, monitor, keyboard, mouse, and OS so those are not included in price. I do not plan on overclocking when I first get the build but I will later on and when I do, I will buy a a CPU cooler.

A few other questions are: Should I do 16GB of ram? Should I go for a GTX 660 because it would be 174.99 or maybe a 7850(MOBO is only Crossfire compatiable and not SLI)?

Thank you guys!

Overall it looks like a solid build. When I made my build (my first) I followed tom's system builder marathon $600 machine for an overall guide on what I should buy. I had no clue what I was doing, so it really helped me get an idea of the type of hardware I needed for the performance I desired. I would suggest checking out the latest build marathon they have right now if you want some more idea's, especially for a budget.

Also, I wouldn't bother with 16gb for a gaming rig because you probably wont use even half of that. Stick with 8gb and save a good chunk of cash, or move that cash into a better component somewhere else. I personally went with 4gb because it's more than enough for current games and it saved me a ton of money (not to mention I can always get more later if I need it).

Thank brafu for your opinion! I feel like it is solid too. I just don't want to over pay for the system.

Does anyone else have an opinion on this?

If you wanted to save some money you could drop it down to 4gb and go with a 7850, but really that's only something I would do if I really didn't want to spend the extra cash.
