Unable to install/find Hp 2355 driver for Windows 8

i did a factory reset and the drivers for HP2355 disappeared. am running windows 8, tried to reinstall the drivers from the CD but it wouldnt allow, came up with incompatible OS error. Searched for updated Win8 drivers and HP support site suggested connecting the USB cable and the drivers will automatically install. That didnt work either. ran out of options, any ideas?

According to HP and Microsoft, the drivers for that printer will be in Windows 8 already. Check Device Manager and see if the printer is listed there, probably with an error. Delete it, and plug it in again.

Did you check HPs website for new drivers? The ones that come on the disk are often out-dated by the time the printer sells.
