how to hook from dvi on tv to my reciever?

your post title says dvi on tv...

you have dvi out on your television?

or do you mean that you have dvi out on your video card on your pc and you want to go to the receiver for sound?

if the latter is the case then i just use a dvi to hdmi cable and then after the receiver a hdmi to tv. my video card supports sound out on dvi and my receiver has hdmi passthrough for video.
